We have lived in Nulato since 2015 and are deeply thankful that we have been able to rent a house here the last 10 years.
Since 2020 we have been trying to build our own place but it has proved difficult. Traditional mortgages or construction loans have not been possible due to our remote location and our financial options.
MaryAnnas health has been weak to varying degrees over the last 10 – 12 years and recently our doctor decided to test for mold. They found that she does have a significant issue with mold and suggested we change her housing environment before next winter.
So, launching into this project… we were able to get land cleared and a gravel pad in last year and now we are trying to build a house this year and have it ready for winter.
We already have received help from Nulato city, Nulato tribe, and friends here in Nulato. We also are receiving help from churches and individuals who have stood with us for years in prayer and support.
